Cayman Crystal Caves
Continuando il tour verso una delle ultime e più recenti destinazioni turistiche nelle Isole Cayman, raggiungiamo le Cayman Crystal Caves. Queste grotte sono state scoperte di recente negli anni '90 e la famiglia che possedeva questa terra l'ha trasformata attivamente in attrazione turistica dopo aver restaurato e lavorato su queste grotte per circa 2 decenni. Ti avventurerai in incredibili caverne dove vedrai stalattiti e stalagmiti strutture cristalline e formazioni ultraterrene, formate da singole gocce d'acqua e dal lento scorrere del tempo. Tra la foresta e le caverne sono affascinanti le piante tropicali e la vita animale, tra cui balsam strangolatori, piante aeree, pappagalli e pipistrelli. Tutti i visitatori ricevono visite guidate a piedi. I tour sono di circa 1 ora e mezza e ti portano attraverso l'area della foresta tropicale circostante e 3 grotte spettacolari.

Pedro St. James National Historic Site
La prima tappa di questo tour è il famoso Pedro St James Castle, il più antico edificio in piedi a Grand Cayman. Costruito nel 1801, in un momento nelle Isole Cayman quando la maggior parte della gente viveva in piccole case ricoperte di paglia, un ricco inglese, usando la schiavitù proveniente dalla Giamaica, creò uno stupefacente edificio di 3 piani chiamato Pedro St. James. Qui puoi esplorare l'edificio principale, i giardini del castello e il gazebo e anche sperimentare una presentazione 3D multisensoriale al Teatro Pedro.

Great History lesson and very much worth seeing. Theresa was our guide and gave us so much information about Pedro St. James and the history of The Grand Cayman Island’s democracy.
Nice excursion

A group of 8 of us booked this excursion on our cruise ship. The history of the "castle" is interesting. We also had a rum tasting, along with other alcohol they produce. The caves were nice, its a nice walk and the guides were very informative and nice. There was no food on our tour so after we were dropped off at our port we took a walk to the left and found a local restaurant with super fresh seafood. They have other things on the menu too! Amazing history on this cave

This was a great cave to tour. I do feel we missed out on so much. Our group was very large and we were to the back and couldn’t hear or see what the tour guide was pointing to or talking about. I would suggest inquiring about group size before booking this excursion.
Interesting tour however water and souvenir shop unavailable

We really enjoyed the caves and the tour guide. The bus driver even worked with us to make sure we got back on time for the cruise ship. We had two complaints related to the gift shop not being opened so we could get some water as the caves were very warm. We also wanted to purchase some souvenirs, but we’re unable to do so. A positive related to the water is that the bus driver stopped to get us water on the way home. Thanks for that.
